When looking for a dog for ourselves, we carefully looked at the family characteristics of individual breeds. We knew that our family would soon include children, so this was an important issue for us.
Pointers turned out to be great family dogs! Very sensitive, delicate and patient, they will gladly accept the invitation to lie on the sofa together ;).
When I became pregnant with Hana, we wondered how the boys would cope with their new role. We carefully prepared the return from the hospital with Hania (Dominik had previously brought them the baby's clothes so that they could get acquainted with her smell), the dogs were free and calm... and they welcomed the new creature with real tenderness and caution. We were moved :).
Pointers are extremely attentive and cautious when interacting with children.
Moreover, they enjoy spending time with children and will be great friends for an older child.
If you don't have children, don't worry. Pointers love adults just as much :)
They love to cuddle, they like soft beds (of course, sofas are the best, but you can also convince them to sleep on dog beds - provided they are soft)
They are very affectionate dogs, they love their family and feel part of it. They willingly participate in various household matters, preferably those that take place in the kitchen... or on the sofa :)
